  1. Could your house be 6374 Holiday Home, from 1983? Beautiful indeed! As for the tow truck, either what Shadows suggested, or this one? Oh I see you found it!
  2. You're welcome, I'm glad this was of use to someone! I don't read the LEGO mailings very carefully myself -- by the time they send something it's usually old news, everything I want to know has already been posted on EB!
  3. 1. While I haven't bought any so far, I would definitely consider buying one or more as parts supply when parts selection is interesting. Probably more than for the model itself, as I don't usually keep models around for display. 2. I would buy specific models for individual appeal (either design or part content) rather than collecting a whole series systematically. 3. La Sagrada Familia (Barcelona), Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral, Neuschwanstein castle 4. VW Transporter (Westfalia camper bus version), USS Enterprise, tree house (!), Manic-5 (Daniel-Johnson) hydroelectric dam (Canada) 5. Random ideas I could see myself buy: Star Trek and Lord of the Rings-themed sets, bring back Paradisa, individual train cars, affordable Architecture theme (skip the luxury packaging!), more Legend series, put old parts into LDD, give us back sand red, I want this I want that give me the moon blah blah blah I might edit myself later on if more ideas come up! And... thanks for asking!
  4. Just got an e-mail from S@H UK: Earn double VIP points with all purchases - Offer is valid June 7th through June 20th at LEGO Stores, over the phone and on shop.LEGO.com Not sure about other countries

    MOC: Ikarus 260

Neat! The Icarus was my favourite bus when I was young and this is a really convincing model of that bus! Seeing nice MOCs like this will make me start building in 8-wide before too long! And the front of the Citaro is lovely too, excellent job both of you!
  6. How can I ever make up my mind and choose at most 3 entries from 58?? Come on, please give us more points to spread around! Oh well, after much soul searching, here are three of my favourite: 9) Forestman Entry (Build by Sandy) 11) Robot Entry (Build by Tereglith) 16) Spaceman Entry (Build by Xiaan) One point each!
  7. So many fabulous entries! My votes go to (1 point each): 18. Etzel 2. Tanotrooper 6. Killagorilla Good luck to all!
  8. The microfigs are just one part. You can see it better here: link to original post I guess it's something specific to the game, not a previously released print.
  9. Ha! First time I see this, it's amazing! The printing is precise enough, considering the type of pen... What's next? A Lego machine printing Lego bricks?
  10. Ok, here's my vignette built with the clown in mind. The story goes like this: It's little Joey's birthday, and his mum has prepared a huge chocolate birthday cake, and invited all his little friends over for a party! But little Joey is cowering in his room and doesn't want to come downstairs to open his presents. Why? Because his mum has invited a stupid clown to his party, and Joey hates clowns! They are creepy and annoying, and he'd rather wait in his room until the ghastly red-haired freak goes away! The whole vignette (insert a clown by the table): (click images for close-ups)
  11. Maybe, maybe not! In your graphic software you can input the exact colour composition (RGB or CMYK) from a Lego colour chart such as this one: http://www.peeron.com/cgi-bin/invcgis/colorguide.cgi But in the end it's always a trial and error process, as your printer may or may not reproduce the colour accurately. It probably even depends on the type of paper/label you are printing on. So you really have to test print and compare with a real brick. But the RGB or CMYK colour chart is a good place to start!
  12. Good job Rick! So what was Dastan really doing with that bird anyway?
  13. Great looking stage, and such lovely rich colours! This is certainly my favourite big so far! Ahah and the magicians look like they weren't expecting uber-rabbit, and now they're not sure about what to do next!
  14. Thanks for the great nostalgic review! Great pictures, I love the shiny glow of 37 year old bricks! Sets were simpler back then, but not less exciting in their own way. I wasn't even born in 1973, but one of my first sets was the 1982 update of this, 6630 Bucket Loader. Almost 10 years later, but the very same bucket assembly, only the colours have changed.
  15. Simply put, the more we buy the more expensive LEGO will get.
  16. Very nice! I love the colours, and the clean lines. What do you have in mind for the second floor? Oh, and how did you end up dealing with the cheese-slope-above-arches fitting problem? Glue? Great work!
  17. All of the above! But I must add, I love how you managed to build several scenes in the same MOC by using clever divisions like the houses, trees, etc in order to be able to photograph individual scenes without having the same characters popping up in a different scene in the background. Good planning, and a terrific build -- as always!
  18. I agree with the other posters here, yours is a great looking hospital! I especially like what you did to create the small white windows on the front right side, and the angled walls. We don't see hospital MOCs very often, it's a shame! Maybe that will change with the availability of a good looking nurse Good job!
  19. Lovely work, very original and modern! Your curving walls are beautiful. Although I think they would befit a modern art museum more than a flower shop Great MOC
  20. I'm almost looking forward to it now!
  21. That's good to know! Without the LEGO sets this is a movie I might have overlooked, but they gave me a great incentive to give it a try, just to see how it compares to the sets! This could be great inspiration for future MOCs anyway. But I can't go right away, I have promised 'someone' to see Sex and the City 2 first!
  22. Wow lego-maniac, thanks for the walk-through of your MOC! It's even more fun than I imagined! You really packed in a huge lot of details and terrific playability! I'm amazed that you did it all without any official PoP pieces, yet it has all the right looks and trappings. Congratulations for your prize, it was well deserved!
  23. I can't believe I actually won, I never win anything! Wow thanks Svelte for a great contest, and an amazing theme month! You really spoiled us with so many different contest and challenges! It's my first theme month on Eurobricks, and I really look forward to the next! And congratulations to all who took part, there were amazing and inspiring entries way beyond the winning few! PS: Too bad the Persia skin had to go, but at least it's still on in the Licensed forum PPS: And many thanks to the LEGO Group for sponsoring the first prizes, it's very kind of them!
  24. Wow, I love it! Very clean design, nice colour scheme, it's perfect! It would have made a great official set back in the 90s! I really look forward to harbour scenes once you finish building it
  25. My favourite is Pedro's: A special thumbs up to Dunjohn for his very funny caption, although it didn't fit the elements in the picture as well as Pedro's: I could say the same about my avatar camel!
