  1. I know only one person who could pull that off...
  2. I think one of the most important success factors for a mafia game is the selection of active players. Sandy's method of at least requiring some form of motivation for signing up, might already deter some potentially inactive members from signing up. That Fellows and Staff seem to be better represented, might very well be due to their activity on the forum. But some other members, like JimButcher, TPRU, Zepher, and even yourself flitwick are considered active mafia players and - from what I've seen - get a fair chance of playing.
  3. Great work. It immediately puts you in that typical relaxed Mediterranean mood.
  4. Tan and dark-tan, two different colors.
  5. The standard release month for the annual Modular Building is March (Fire Brigade was delayed until September 2009, but was followed up by Grand Emporium in March 2010). Rumors - or perhaps even the official announcement - should start appearing around Christmas/New Year.
  6. I could be mistaken, but nowhere do I read 'first come, first serve', only that sign-ups will be open until the 15th. With 42 parts, we all have a decent chance of being able to play, but I think it's ultimately the host's call who will play.
  7. (some background-viewing) But yeah, this is one of the themes I don't see TLG do in the near future...

    Lifeguard Car

Instant Baywatch feeling (which isn't good, but it's good that you managed to revive it with a MOC ). Some nice techniques in there, like the rack on the back and the headlights, but my favorite are the 1 x 2 slope grill pieces (?) upside down behind the rear tyre. Too bad those windscreens are so hard to use because of the 'trans' that always shows up on the sides. You're forgiven for using yellow tape.
  9. I don't really like these blood and gore MOCs, but that aside, all the exterior and interior details are really nice.
  10. I really like the little ice cream sign you made. Simple, yet effective.
  11. Probably my favorite as well. Most people here would have absolutely no trouble finding that one, but then again I have experienced people say 'easy' to clues that took me quite some time to decipher.
  12. Don't know if it's specifically European, but it's a mailbox.
  13. Happy Birthday Super Mario
  14. You can also use the screwdriver end of this: It's what TLG also uses in the Games range for removing tiles from dice.
  15. Excellent work Matn. So much attention to detail. The stone work around the entrance is great and I'm amazed at how you managed to achieve all those angles on the footbridge.
  16. I think I read somewhere that the staff decided that PotC would go in Pirates.
  17. *raises hand* Played in Imperial Soldiers' Mafia (won) and Dystopia (got killed by a flying car or something, or was that Shadows?). I also survived the PoP massacre. I followed Hogwarts actively while bumping my head into a wall for not signing up.
  18. That one I haven't found yet. He could literally be exploring everywhere...
  19. Same here, which one is going to be the last one? Explorer or Life Guard?
  20. Fugazi wrote an excellent article about this a while back.
  21. That's the typical orientation, because the wider parts represents the longer fingers and the thumb (supposedly, first time I consciously think about it). Sometimes an accessory just looks better or can be better positioned relative to the mouth or eyes of a minifig when you turn the hand around.
  22. Good thinking. That would finally be a good use for the Toy Story arms.
  23. Look like you just answered your own question...
  24. Great scene Etzel. As others have said, the landscaping is brilliant. Way to hide the Etzel duck
  25. I guess that makes the Spartan the most sought-after figures in more than one way...
